  1. This archive contains a script which allows to change default 16-color
  2. palette of EPM. I tested it only on version 6.03, but hopefully
  3. it will work for other versions too. There is no (at least known to me)
  4. way to change it for now, except to patch the binary files of EPM.

  6. To successfully apply this patch, you will need to
  7. a) place lxLite.exe on your PATH or into current directory.
  8. b) place etke603.dll into current directory
  9.  
  10. Then, run EPMPAL.CMD. It will launch the VP.COM program in a full-screen
  11. DOS session. You can change the proposed 16-bit palette as you wish.
  12. Keep in mind that on 256-color displays you will got your colors
  13. approximated. However, I tried the built-in palette with a 256-color
  14. display (normally I`m using 64K colors) and it still looks great, imho :-)

  16. After you`re finished press Enter. The script will handle everything
  17. other without your assistance. After the script finishes, backup your old
  18. etke603.dll file and place the new etke603.dll on its place. Now
  19. you can run EPM and see what happened :-)

  21. This palette was designed for light cyan letters on dark blue background.
